Underwater babies

July 2nd, 2009

While the friend in the previous post got married, another old friend of mine gave birth. I guess it’s that time in our lives!
Ofcourse I made a little illustration as a gift, with lots of bright colors for her baby boy to look at. Here it is!

About a fluffy cat who happens to love chicken and rice

May 28th, 2009

One of my oldest friends got married, and I decided to make her and her new husband an illustration as a gift. Some time ago, a random old lady presented them with a clumsy painting of their cat, which they now have hanging on their wall in spite of it not even really looking like a cat when you get close to it. I wish I had a picture of it to show here, it’s quite funny hehe.
Anyway, I thought I’d add to their cat-picture collection!

And yes, the cat is named Tiesto.

5 minute doodle!

April 8th, 2009

A group I really enjoy on flickr, is 5 minute doodle!, where you are invited to do quick drawings about a changing subject. I like the time limit, even though I must admit I regularly surpass it with another 5 minutes hehe.
The group needs a little new blood I think. So if you like the concept, go ahead and submit your own doodles on the posted subjects!

Here are my latest submissions.

5 minute doodle! #55; What dinosaur would you keep as a pet and why?

I would feed sweet little snacks to Sauroposeidon, the titanosaur with the longest neck of them all. I would ride on its head and be higher than everything and feel invincible!

5 minute doodle! #54; Where do you think the doodles are?

I think the doodles are hiding in remote areas of my brain, while it is busy thinking of other stuff..

I’ll be getting money in style

I re-designed my bank card to match my site design!

Tiny drawing about a tiny me and a tiny friend

March 27th, 2009

A little drawing I did about me and a friend and the day we first met in 1992.

In the background: the horse-loving gossip girls.

New business cards

March 27th, 2009

They finally arrived, hurray!

I printed them over at MOO, where they will let you select up to a hundred different images per batch. Nice! They print on a matte, silky paper, and the colors usually come out great. Plus, I really like that small format instead of the regular business card size.

Of hairdressing and the elimination of cleavage

March 11th, 2009

Mandy got some new haircuts and outfits, because apparently she was too sexy for advertisers on the site. Hah.
Working on Mandy always feels like playing with barbie.. dressing her up, fixing her hair.. I was never really into that when I was young, but I guess I am now..!

Gorilla gorilla seaman

Having fun doodling forest-dwelling and sea-faring hominidae.
I never really believed in actual drawing with the wacom, but I guess I’ve changed my mind about that!

It’s addictive.
